Jenny and John chose Villa Pelícano because it’s design is one of the most authentic to costarican traditional architecture and details. They really wanted to experience our real culture and see the country as it really is, and oh boy, they did, especially when it comes to rainy tropical rainforest. The awesome part about it is that their Costa Rica rainy wedding seemed more like an adventure than a hassle (at least for them and the guests, Chelsea Brandau from Oasis Wedding, the coordinator may not say the same!) Check out the glory of our country and the gorgeous sometimes not so appreciated wet season.
I felt like the luckiest photographer alive when I saw this bride for the first time, she reminds me of the gorgeous 60s actresses, that still had curves and rocked them with such elegance and style. The Hotel Gaia is just beautiful and it gave us the chance to do all kinds of sceneries, from the beautiful beach, the greenery to some pretty cool concrete parts of the hotel. The wedding ceremony took place around 10 a.m., not a usual time for beach weddings witch usually go for the “sunset photos”. It was fun to work with a different, challenging kind of lighting, at that time, the sun starts to give full power and shadows in people’s faces can be very unflattering. Nevertheless, I loved the plans, they wanted some ceremony photos, around 1.5 hours of portraits, they planned to get a whole day of fun on a Catamaran with their family and friends.
I was not for the Catamaran part, so, no pics about that part, but here are my favorites of that morning:
It can’t get any better when such a prestigious magazine asks to feature your wedding photos… well… if you are eating ice cream at the same time they ask it could be better. Check out the full awesome post here!

It was awesome to photograph Lindsey and Brian’s wedding in the Hotel La Mariposa. This was an assignment for the fabulous Comfort Studio whom I’m proud to be associated. This post includes some great pics by my Husband Stefán! He is GOOD, even when it comes to take pic-ches! Can someone please convince me to be my permanent second shooter?
I’m so proud to have being contacted by the gorgeous editors of Jet Fet to feature this amazing wedding in Manuel Antonio, Punto de Vista
Chris and Karla had a beautiful little ceremony on the top of Casa de las Brisas with the wonderful view of Manuel Antonio beach. It was amazing to see the looks on their most intimate friends and family while they were promising their lives to each other and even more beautiful to witness the earnest words of the couple promising a lifelong companionship. Even with a little rain, the shining of this whole family’s love kept the good spirits and the smiles.
Organized by the fabulous Tropical Occasions.
